A Canopy Review of " Mouth Runs Faster Than His Head" Edo State Boxing Ring Part 2.

Gov. Oshiomhole

By Prince Kelly Udebhulu.

ATTACK 1:

Gov. Oshiomhole:  " ...Honourable minister of works  used armed mobile policemen, over a dozen, to intimidate the voters in Esan North East, Uromi on the 20th April council election..."

Response 1:

Onolememen says Oshiomhole is a talkative; mouth runs faster than his head.
"The minister of works, Mike Onolememen has said that the Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole, who had accused him of using armed policemen to intimidate voters in weekend’s local government election, talks faster than he reasons. The Minister told Channels Television in Abuja that he could not have intimidated voters in his local government where election did not take place because of lack of electoral materials for the election. He said he was at a polling station in his ward with his security details who are plain clothes operatives and other aides but was told that there were insufficient electoral materials and therefore voting could not hold. He said as a minister, he was entitled to some level of protection by security operatives just like Mr. Oshiomhole."

Gov. Oshiomhole replied 26th April, 2013 after the election conducted on the 24th APRIL was cancelled by EDSIEC.

Speaking during the swearing in ceremony of the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of Oredo, Ikpoba Okha and Esan West Local Government Areas in Benin City today, the governor said, “twice the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission ( EDSIEC ) tried to conduct election in Esan North East and twice the PDP disrupted it. “When I swore in the first set of local government chairmen, I made the point about how the honourable minister of works, used armed mobile policemen, over a dozen, to intimidate the voters in Esan North East and subsequently compelled the DPO and the EO to announce the cancellation of the election and he went on television to say how could he have disturbed an election that was not held.

“Let me repeat. I did not accuse him of undermining an election that was held, we accused him of illegally using the police, conniving with the DPO to order the postponement of the election. He caused the election to be postponed because he had no chance of winning.

“The evidence was clear on that Saturday in Esan land, in Uromi you had canopies belonging to ACN , the other canopy for PDP supporters and just looking at the canopies you can see where the majority were and that was why he insisted that election must be postponed and he misused federal instrument to force that postponement in clear breach of the electoral act,” the governor noted. According to him, “today, we could have sworn in a candidate from the local government but again he used hired thugs to confiscate election materials, carry fake result sheets and even detained people at Uromi police station.”

Referees:

On Wednesday, 24th April, 2013, PDP  held their annual meeting at Abuja and Works Minister, Mike Onolememen was in Abuja, he did not even shown up at Uromi during the said election,  he was at a Congress meeting at Aso Vila with other top PDP stake holders.

We invite the audience and observers to evaluate and analyze

Mike Onolememen
where Governor Oshiomhole fears Works Minister? is it the growing popularity of the gentleman or the works minister`s federal might? why all these premature attacks on him by the Governor of Edo State? Was the Governor mis-informed?
Osa Nosa-Odia wrote:

Immediately he (Gov. Oshiomhole) was swore-in as the Executive Governor of Edo State on Nov. 2008, he took on Gen. Dr. S.O. Ogbemudia (RTD) a two time Governor of Mid-west and Bendel state, the father of the modern day Edo & Delta States, he insulted him on tv, radio stations across the land, he even went as far as withdrawning vehicles purchased for the elder stateman by the past administration. he called the baba all sorts of names, and those who were suppose to caution him were all laughing.

Prior to the April 14th 2012 governorship election, he took on Chief T. Anenih, the Present PDP BOT chairman, Former Minister of Works (FMW), Former National Chiarman of SDP (Hope '93) and a political leader of a very high repute, someone that have contributed to the political development of Nigeria, in every gathering be it religous, political, social, he was insulting him, calling him all sorts of name, persons who were suppose to caution him, saw nothing wrong in what he was doing, even kids where encouraged to do same.

Now, in 2013 pre and post Local Govt elections, this same governor brought out his old self by insulting the Esama of Benin Kingdom ( Esama of the Universe), Chief G.O. Igbinedion CFR, a man that single handedly took development from Benin-City to Okada town, and turn the word Okada to a National household name, the highest employer of labour after goverment in the state, the Honourary Romania ambassador to Mid west Region (Edo&Delta states of Nigeria) someone that have contributed the socio-economical development of the Edo race, the most influential black man in West Africa. A governor of a state deem it necessary to come on air and pass abuses on such a great asset to his state, and nobody is seeing anything wrong about it.

If these great men have be insulted publicly by an elected governor, and traditional, Religional, Political, and Professional institutions are all silent about these new trend, then my question is who is the next Great fellow to be humiliated and insulted in Edo state?

Oshiomhole, The New Face of Electoral Fruad.. Imposition galore in Edo State.

Hon Abdulrazak Momoh (ACN) representing Etsako West 1 constituency Edo State House of Assembly at a voting Unit with a Pump Action Gun,20th of April 2013.
By Anthony Eromosele Irabor.

After 48 hours of dumbfounded massive election rigging in Edo State I can constatively assert that Nigeria have a long way to go, judging from the reaction of some people and media reports.

It is now clear that our media houses are unreliable, they may have connive with Edo State Government to cover the mess that stinks to the cloud during the last SELECTION instead of election. Oshiomole mess is been swallowed in media houses.

Whereby reports on actual facts that transpired during the election was twisted in favor of the Government. Oshiomole did not tell Nigerians how he converted Deputy Governors office to Inec Logistic Dept., he did not tell Nigerians that instead of one man one vote we have one man one gun, one man ten thousand ballot papars.

It is a new practice in Nigeria that you vote and wait till it is counted but in Edo State it tooks them 24 hours to count votes for LGA. Oshiomole did not tell Nigerians that it took EDSIEC 10 hours to convey electoral materials from Benin City to Uromi as against normal 1 hour drive instead he was busy accusing Hon. Mike for what he knows not. In his usual manner, he have started accusing the Esama of Benin, Chief of staff for what they may know not. We all saw how he blasted Inec, ranted to high heavens during the last Governorship election even while the election was ongoing... This is a situation were our suppose role models have become worst than those they criticized daily.

It is grotesque and pathetic.. I am filled with consternation and at the action of APC Government in Edo State who deliberately hijack the peoples voice and replace it with theirs. The imposition of candidates on the party was further expanded to the good will of voiceless people of Edo State with the help of organise media network... I am dis appointed!

THE GOOD IN DICTATORSHIP BEFORE OUR EYES

Prince Kelly Udebhulu

By Prince Kelly Udebhulu

A Dictator is an absolute ruler or Administrator who governs without restrictions. A ruler who exercises power in a harsh, cruel manner. Dictatorship can be defined as a form of government in which the power is centralized. It either lies with a single person or a small group of people. The general population has no say in the functioning of the government. The people do not have any choice with regards to by whom or how their country or State will be run. In a dictatorship form of government, the people are expected to do, whatever is decided for them by the dictator.

Stable Government:

As in a dictatorship, the decision-making lies with only one person and others do not have any say in the working of the government, it offers a kind of stability to the country or State. Problems such as frequent elections, as in the case of democracy, or a disruption of peace due to political factions, do not arise in a dictatorship.

Less Room for Corruption:

A dictator is very stringent with regards to the rules, regulations, penalties, punishments and rewards. This makes the people working under him less liable to corruption.

Most Efficient During Emergencies:

When a country faces any kind of emergency, such as a war or a health epidemic, a dictatorship government can prove to be the most efficient one. The reason being that all the decisions are taken by one person, so there is no ambiguity with regards to the plan of action as well as individual responsibilities that are fixed to cope with the emergency. So one of its main advantages over democracy is that it is better equipped to face emergencies.

Lesser Crime Rate:

Most of the dictatorship governments are police states. So, in a way there is low crime rate under such regimes. Another reason for a better law and order situation in these states is that various laws are passed immediately, without any discussion or waiting for the public opinion on them. This leads to better control over crimes too.

"Things Happen" Quickly:

In a dictatorship form of government, all things, whether related to governance or businesses or anything else, happen much quicker than in other types of government. The reason for this is the same i.e. decision-making lies with a single person.

Although for these advantages to translate into real life, a dictator needs to be self less, benevolent, well experienced and intelligent.  If he does not possess these qualities, the disadvantages of dictatorship, such as oppression of people, no freedom of choice for the people, accumulation of wealth in a few hands, loss of civil rights, flawed decision-making, etc. can lead the country or State towards a wrong path. Looking at the stakes associated with a dictatorship form of government, many countries or states under such a regime are considering becoming democracies, which is a form of government for the people, of the people and by the people. Today, looking at the progresses in democratic countries and states, democracy is considered the best form of governance. Let who wants to be a dictator knows the qualities and consequences.
