Many people think of critiques of this government as "bad belle" and enemies of good things, but let us examine the Oshiomhole government of Edo state and how much impact it has made to remedy the problems they claimed was heaped down by the PDP.

1. REVENUE GENERATION: Edo state has got many avenues to revenues viz; Federal allocations, shares from excess crude account, Sure-P programme, Ecological funds, Flood victims relief funds, internally generated revenue(IGR) which covers ticketing, income tax, value added tax, etc,
QUESTION: Can the state government publish accurate figures of the exact amount it has received in the last 6 years since it took office? or can any one of the spokes channels of the government help us know this staggering figures in broken down syntax.
2. EXPENDITURES OF GOVERNMENT: As a trained economist myself, I know that over 84% of government dealings are procurement guided by appropriation and budgeting. Thus the question;
QUESTION: How much of the income received had been expended and on what project? We should match the recurrent expenditure and capital expenditure using the overall budget of the 6years period under review.
3. EDUCATION: Education being one of the most important function of government in modern democracies has been impacted by provisions of red roofs, sliding windows, ceiling fans, ceramic tiled floors etc, but what about the other core features like desks, teachers and teaching materials?
QUESTION: Rating the present situation of education în Edo state, are we satisfied with the level of achievement bearing in mind that there are counterpart funding availability from the federal government?
