Nigerian Navy knows How To Play With People’s Lives

HARD FACT:

Nigerian Navy knows how to play with people’s lives. It’s in d system. when I wrote Gen Azazi as the NSA in 2009 as a feedback recon specialist with Ford Foundation and Amnesty International “trust-gate” assignments; and reported the way Navy neglected, tortured and endangered my life coupled with non compliance of the Navy chief to NASS resolution, Gen. Azazi never replied me. I still have FedEx receipt I used to send it as proof of service, d security risk report against d Nigerian Navy was swept under d carpet. Now Navy has killed Gen. Azazi n other innocent Nigerians.

When I was in Eastern Naval command HQ as a ford foundation attaché on Ariel surveillance, Navy war ship NNS Damisa and NNS Hadeija will go missing on high sea for days without communication when on patrol of
territorial waters around Bakassi n Cameroun because of lack of maintenance n negligence.

When I was on board P230 patrolling Ebugu, Agbani barge and FOB Ibaka, I had to provide my own live jacket and we kept running on single engine and no generator till I left P230 because the second one has been long out of service.

This is the second Navy chopper accident. A “rating – Chopper Reviler” was left to die at NNH Ojo in 1999 when i was deployed to witness the re-con opt of the Naval sipta as a Cadet of the NDA because the generator was without fuel and no light to give him proper medical attention.

Another rating AB Anyachioke also died at NNH Ojo because he couldn't afford to pay for his malaria medication and was abandoned to die. NNS Agu crashed into a flyover in Lagos because of negligence and lack of maintenance.

Two whole bunkering vessels MT African Pride and MT Jimoh got missing under Navy care at NNS Becroft jetty Apapa. The report of the first crashed chopper was never seen or heard. Nigerian Navy’s ability for search and rescue is questionable.

God forbid if there is an emergency, Navy can't even do much. Corruption and abuse of office has made it impossible for Nigerian Navy to own even second hand submarine. Nigerian Navy Flag ship NNS Aradu was procured by Shagari regime. Its the highest and most efficient ship in the Naval fleet and the only navy ship that has its own chopper.

The ill fated chopper must have been over used without adequate maintenance and parts replacement as stipulated by manufacturers. Gen. Azazi was in a position for years as NSA to correct many wrong things in the Navy and it would have saved his life and others.
