A FEDERAL MINISTER OR STATE COMMISSIONER IS DIFFERENT FROM A GOVERNOR

Ralph Odua

By Ralph Odua

... If Alli was a Federal Minister he could not have done much for Ekpoma. Tony Momoh was a minister for 4 years what did he do for Auchi ? nothing. What did Akhigbe do for Auchi? nothing, What did Abbe, Ogiewonyi and other ministers from Benin did for Benin? Nothing. Anenih was a minister for only two and half years and never a Governor.

I doubt if anyone love Uromi more than Chief Enahoro, he was a home secretary in western region for many years and was minister for 7 years, if its easy for commissioners or ministers to develop their village, he would have developed Uromi before Chief Anenih became a politician. If an Uromi minister or commissioner goes to executive council meeting and start spilling Uromi, Uromi, I bet you he will be thrown out of office fast. What has Ebare done for Uromi? Nothing.
Ministers and commissioners are not president or governor respectively. We should stop overrating our kins in government. If Anenih is that powerful, he would cut Edo big mouth to his small size. Those of us talking, are not just talking, we know what we are doing, its the only option we have right now and its working. If AC and its holier than thou supporters accepts Auchi-governor, Benin- Deputy governor, and Benin-speaker. We will never accept it.

If they say it does not matter, why not right the wrong, and others? Guys it matters, I doubt if Benin will accept an Auchi-governor, Esan-speaker, and Esan-deputy governor. Never, it will never accept it, and they will all speak with one voice against such political organisation in the state.
...to be continued
